6th-8th Grade History Learning Activity: 3 French Estates

Late in the 18th century France was divided into three social classes or, estates. The first class consisted of clergy, the second of nobility and the third of peasants. It was believed that if every class received the same representation it would be fair. This system was determined not to be fair by the Third Estate and their rebellion lead to the French Revolution.
